Product Description

Hot-dip Galvanized Suspension Clamp with Clevis

Causes:

Causes of overhead lightning wire drop caused by wear of suspension clamp
According to the investigation, the locations where overhead lightning wires drops are all in areas with large wind force. It shows that there are two reasons for the drop of lightning wires caused by wear of suspension clamp:
1.Due to the effect of wind force, the hull of the suspension clamp moves relatively to the hanging plate, which swings at a small angle around the hanging shaft of the hull.As the hanging plate is relatively thin, the effect of its swing is like the blade cutting and then groove marks appear, which leads to the force bearing section of the hanging shaft of the hull becoming thinner and smaller. When the groove mark reaches a certain degree, under the action of the weight of the lightning conductor itself, the hull of the wire clamp falls from the suspension wire clamp, and then the lightning conductor drops to ground.
2.If the overhang clamp is too large or the lightning conductor is not compressed, the lightning conductor and the cable clamp hull will move relatively under the action of wind, which causes the wear of the lightning wire.Under the action of wind force or strong lightning current, the lightning conductor is scraped or burned, which causes the lightning wire fall off from the suspension clamp and causes similar accidents.
