Type Selection Requirements:
The type of tension clamp is chosen in accordance with wires for electrical power transmission line in general.

1.Using ACSR wires

As the tension clamp is worked on the outer diameter of wires,the type of tension clamp to be used should be selected according to the outer diameter of wires when using ACSR wires.

2.Using insulated wires

Compared with bare conductors,the insulated wires take the advantage of high safe reliability,lower line loss and smaller wire corrosion and son on.It should be noted that the tension clamp is worked on the outer diameter of wires instead of the outer diameter of conductors.This leads to the type of tension clamp should be selected according to the outer diameter of wires instead of conductors when using insulated wires.

Installation:
If the grip strength of wire clamp cannot meet the specified requirements when installing larger section ACSR with bolt type tension clamps, the compression type tension clamp must be used by technicians.
